PR 6 follows an irrigation channel cut into the flank of the Rabaçal valley on Madeira's west side, running roughly 4.3 km from the ER 105 trailhead down past the Rabaçal forest house to the 25 Fontes amphitheatre, where the springs that name it seep out of a mossy cliff into a shallow lagoon. It threads UNESCO-listed laurisilva the whole way. Nearly everyone walks it out and back, and Madeira charges a booked, per-person fee to enter.
