Multi-day hiking planner

Plan an established multi-day hiking route stage by stage, review elevation and historical climate, organize gear, share the plan and export GPX files. DirtbagMaps starts with a mapped trail rather than asking you to draw a mountain route from scratch.

From route to day-by-day plan

  1. Choose a mapped trek. Inspect the full line, distance, ascent and elevation profile in 3D.
  2. Set your stages. Split the route into walking days and adjust boundaries instead of accepting a fixed itinerary.
  3. Review the practical layers. Compare accommodation candidates, organize personal and shared gear, and read the limitations attached to historical climate data.
  4. Share the same plan. Send a plan URL to walking partners without publishing personal notes or account details.
  5. Export GPX. Download the full route or the daily tracks for a watch, GPS device or another navigation app.

What the planner deliberately does not decide

It does not certify fitness, create a live mountain forecast, confirm a hut booking, or declare a route open. Automatic stage boundaries are a starting point; inspect the terrain, exits, accommodation and current information yourself.

Start with an authority-reviewed flagship

Method: route statistics come from DirtbagMaps’ published trail records. Safety-sensitive planning notes are displayed only when they have a review date and named primary authority. About DirtbagMaps.
