The United States treks

7 curated routes, 24–336 km, each with a 3D map, day-by-day stages and month-by-month climate data.

The American West is public-land trekking on a grand scale. The John Muir Trail runs the High Sierra past Whitney; the Wonderland circles Mount Rainier; the Teton Crest, the Enchantments and the Tahoe Rim string together granite basins, larch and alpine lakes across California, Washington and Wyoming.

The catch is permits — the marquee routes run competitive lotteries, so these are trips you plan months ahead.
