PR-LP 13 is La Palma's signature day hike, a 23 km circuit from Los Llanos de Aridane into Caldera de Taburiente National Park. Most walkers take a licensed 4x4 taxi from the Barranco de las Angustias car park up to Los Brecitos, then follow the balcony path above Canarian pine forest to the Playa de Taburiente campsite, the sacred monolith Roque Idafe and the iron-stained Cascada de Colores, before descending the Barranco de las Angustias gorge back to the car park.
