The Camino Natural Anaga-Chasna is Tenerife's leg of the GR-131, running about 84 km from La Esperanza in the hills above La Laguna south along the island's volcanic spine to Arona. It climbs through Canary pine forest to El Portillo, crosses the Las Cañadas caldera under El Teide above 2,000 m, then descends past Vilaflor, the highest village in the Canaries, into the dry southern barrancos.
